Project summary

Marcon Construction was appointed under a JCT Design & Build contract to relocate and upgrade the CT Scanner Department within Lister Hospital. This strategic refurbishment allowed the Trust to expand its diagnostic imaging capabilities while maximising available estate.

What we delivered

Scope of works

  1. Demolition & Enabling Works: Strip-out of former office areas to prepare for the new CT suite
  2. Removal of walls, flooring, fixtures, furniture, and decommissioned M&E services
  3. Demolition of the existing CT suite, including specialist elements like lead-lined walls and doors
  4. Mechanical & Electrical Installations: New AHU, sub-mains, and control equipment
  5. Upgraded ventilation, domestic water, and heating systems
  6. Fit-Out Works: Supply and installation of lead-lined plasterboard partitions, lead-lined doors, and a viewing window
  7. Installation of Trovex Hygipods, Rockfon Medicare ceiling grid with non-corrosive components, and specialist furniture
  8. Comprehensive radiation protection measures
