Marcon refurbished the Urgent Treatment Centre at Broomfield Hospital, working with the hospital and its facilities management team.

The challenge

The full refurbishment had to be completed and the unit handed back to the Trust within four weeks of approval, in a live hospital.

Our approach

The works were planned and phased with daily coordination with hospital staff, with controls kept in place to limit disruption to surrounding services and to maintain continuity of care and patient safety.

Outcome

The unit was handed back within the four-week programme, adding urgent care capacity at Broomfield Hospital.
