Darrick Wood Junior School
Essential Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) refurbishment works
Project summary
Marcon carried out Fire Risk Assessment refurbishment works at Darrick Wood Junior School, funded through the Condition Improvement Fund, across the sports hall, classrooms and toilets.
The challenge
The works could not disrupt teaching, and the school stayed open for administrative work while they were carried out.
Our approach
All works were scheduled into the six-week summer holiday, phased with the Trust and school leadership, and carried out under the school’s safeguarding protocols.
Outcome
The works were completed within the summer holiday, improving fire safety across the school.
