This was a scheme to construct a new observation unit within an existing external courtyard at the hospital. It was particularly challenging as it was to be built in a land locked part of the hospital and could obviously not have an impact on the clinical teams. The Existing space was overlooked on all sides by clinical departments and was only accessible through the hospital corridors. and despite design issues at the start of the project was delivered on time and on budget.
