The Project
Marcon Construction were awarded the roofing refurbishment works directly for Worth Abbey in 2022.
The works involved striping and installing multiple disciplines of flat roofing, incorporating felting and cold applied liquid systems. The main conical shaped roof of the Church Abbey was the most challenging aspect of this project.
The associated works also included parapet wall adaptations and structural repairs to the concrete deck.
The conical shaped roof spanned over 1000m2 with every roll being accurately set out and tapered on both sides then mechanically fixed.
Our team installed 126 rolls and 63 flashings around the main roof in just 4 weeks.
